how do i take off the tire rod? i got the tension rod off, bracket off, and half of my tire rod.. need to get the other half off. thanks for the help..

Engine forums are not the place to post up suspension related issues. Please put threads where they belong in the future. Furthermore, name your thread title something that is actually descriptive of your issue. Putting "Need help" causes you to get fewer page views as well as piss of staff. Also, it's tie rod, not tire rod. - Hijacker

You need to remove the locking tab off the big screw then remove the big square screw...at least they were square on my 240. I had just started working on cars at the time so I didn't have many tools. I clamped a vice grip on and whacked it with a big hammer. I don't recommend this unless you just don't have any tools like I did. Then you can just pull the tie rod out.

if you need to know the precise size of the tie rod boxed end, you need a 32mm wrench. It's a PERFECT FIT.
