How do I remove the stick shift knob?

I can't figure out how to remove the stick shift knob. Someone help me out.

I believe it just screws off. It will be a pain in the butt to get started because it is glued.

Brute strength is how you will get it off. Grab the sucker and twist counter-clockwise. It will break free.
