How do I remove the original mirror from the windshield???

I don't think I've ever looked at it. But if its attached directly to the winshield then there should be a screww on the bottom of the mount to loosen it and then it should slide up to come off.

I just had my windshield replace a few weeks ago. I saw the guy take a screwdriver to it and loosened it up and it slid right off. You can't really take the mount off though.

There is something you can buy I'm sure that will disolve the glue holding it on, but somethings could mess up the glass as well.

I don't want to take off the bracket from the glass i just want to replace the original mirror with a Gentex.
