I bought a '93 240 last Wednesday, and I got pulled over today. Along with my speeding ticket, the officer decided to give me another ticket for not having a front license plate. I wasn't even aware that I had to have one.If you put a front license plate on your 240, I'd like to ask you for some tips and advice. Please tell me how to put it on.Thank you.

just stick it on the passenger side, stick it between the dash and windshield. It will stay fine and should be legal. Plus plates look horrible on s13, and block flow to radiator.

sticking it on the dash, under the windshield is not legal. If your state requires a front plate, it must be mounted on the front bumper.

I got a ticket for that.

Nor is it a smart thing to do. I don't know why people can't grasp the concept that it is a huge hazard. You could be fatally injured in an accident with a plate just sitting on your dash unsecured. In a collision, that thin metal plate could cut through your neck like a hot knife through butter. Mount it on the front bumper or not at all.

I just got pulled over for it, though the officer was nice about it. He said he just wanted to assure that it wasn't stolen and being used on another vehicle. He gave me a warning and said to mount it when I got home. (3 weeks later it still isn't haha, can't block the intercooler). I need to find out the best way to mount it below the pass. side turn signal.

If you need. I have a bracket for mounting the front plate on an S13 (came stock on mine), but I don't use it anymore (since NC doesn't require it). I'll sell it and ship it to ya if you want it, cheap. Email me: [email protected]

There should be holes where a license plate was a one point. Just bolt it back on. And if you put a body kit on your car, just get a t-bracket and stick it in the grill, it looks pretty good, my friend did it to his CRX.
