I want to use this blank socket for my on/off switch for my foglights but I can't pop it out for the life of me. I can get the side mirror controls beside it out but not the blank socket.

Ideas?

push it from the back by removing the lower dash piece. I am shocked it just does not pop out from the front.

By lower dash peice, do you mean the fuse panel cover? I can just barely touch it if i run my hand thru the fuse panel since the opening is rather small

yeah that is what I meant the fuse panel. Maybe use a screw driver and instead of your hand to push it out

Did you manage to pop it out yet? I tried what NODES suggested earlier today with a screwdriver, and it still wouldn't budge...

I got it out

there are tabs on the top and bottom. Just use a flathead screwdriver and lift one of the tabs up. Then push the cover from the front and it'll pop into the dash. You can get it from the fuse panel area afterwards.

If I ever end up getting a switch for mine I would buy the OEM stalk and wire my fogs into the pre installed wires. (I know this will only work for pre wired cars)

I personally hate aftermarket type switches.

I would still use the walmart fogs though.

I would actually like to have a aftermarket switch. Then you can put the fogs on anytime you want. You could have them on with your high beams if you wanted or you could turn on just the fogs with no other lights. The 2nd option is nice when you slip down a ally trying to ditch the cops so they dont see any tail lights...lol .Just joking of course but I like the flexability with a aftermarket switch.

I just rigged mine to turn on whenever I turned on my parking lights.
