Yeah Ray road and Arizona Ave. about, I wish I could swap the AWD R32 transmission for a rb25 but you know which is more desirableKamin wrote:rb25 transmission.

Awesome! Pulling the fuse won't make it go into a limp mode or something?sean8564 wrote:OK there as i said in the other thread there is a 15 amp fuse pull the fuse and you break the circut to the AWD and it is RWD. YOu can also Find a USED HKS center Diff controller since they do not make new ones. From RHDjapan.com or upgarage or yellow hat in japan or super autobacs used parts store
Nope, my buddy had an R32 GTR and that's all he did was pull the fuse..and FR all teh way!!MoparMan wrote:Awesome! Pulling the fuse won't make it go into a limp mode or something?
Lol, hows it going to be? I may be a little strange to put the RB26DETT in a 40's American steel but the way I saw it after seeing all the options was changing my 3.8 Inline Six 150hp 12mpg redlined at 4500 in a car that has a drag coefficient of .35 and curb weighs 92 lbs LESS than a R32 GTR to the drivetrain of "Godzilla" Inline 6, it was a no brainer; trade a 60yr old Inline for a modern InlineSeVa-S13 wrote:The "progress" thread for this project is gunna be comedy gold.
Do you mean a Drag coefficeint of .53??The R32 GTR curb weight is 3262 lbsHow much does your car weigh?MoparMan wrote:Yeah it was included, thanks for the info

lol, you would think .53 but back in the 40's when engines were weak they were obsessing on "Streamlining" though my car appears big the drag of a D24 Dodge sedan was .35 and my car weighs in at 3,281, so only slightly more by your weight number. When I was researching Skyline R32 the weight I found from converting Kilos to lbs stock was 3373lbs but still, with your figures, still a pretty good match Thanks for the compliment I basically lost half my Hot Rodding greaser friends by doing the swap of "jap in an American" but honestly if the US made an engine that offered the resiliance, weight loss in my application, reliablilty, and originality I would jump on that engine but the RB appeal hooked me.Sil240 wrote:

I don't see anything wrong with the swap, its actually cool.
lol, You telling me! The price for the cars we love I guess. Not only digital pictures but I am filming the most dificult parts and installs with my digital Camera so you guys will get to enjoy both mediums during this build The tradeoff of ease is that It is a simple Electrical system and all the gauges are mechanical and there is TONS of room, my chassis supports wide block Hemis! I doubt the RB Inline can give too much hassleSeVa-S13 wrote:I was just imagining the future frustration trying to convert so old a vehicle to a complicated e-AWD system with custom suspension and wiring harness, but without a full donor car.
Take lots of pictures, preaze.
Good thought but if I am going Nissan I had to go RB26DETT all the way. I got my full R32 GTR clip last Weds, I have it mounted on its stand and am in the tear down stages; got the NISMO Gasket set, N1 Pump, JUN Collar, NISMO Timing Belt and I live with a certified Nissan/Infiniti mechanic AND I have this forum filled with exceptional Nissan fans/experts so who could ask anything more when it comes to helpSil240 wrote:Have you though about the VQ30DET?? you can get one cheaper than a RB20/Turbo from the start. More Displacement.
Or even a VQ35 swap with a Turbo kit.
You got the room.
