how do i lower my car without having to buy coilovers?

i want to lower my 240 but im kinda low on finances soooo, meaning i cant afford coilovers right now...whats a cheap way to lower a car?? lol i heard cutting the springs would actually lower it, but isnt that bad for the car?...sh-it if not, then ill do it, since it would basically be free...let me know

dont cut them thats not safe you could buy some springs off ebay i bought k-sport springs for 139 shipped it gives a 1.8 inch drop front back heres a pic

no they are not hard to install i probably took 3 1/2 hours to install them by myself its basically take em off and put em on

...if its "so cheap" you shouldn't have a problem buying used coilovers for 400-500 bucks...

and you must not have searched much, because this is very basic information...you have much to learn young grasshopper.

lol, hahaha, u crack me up, buddy. 100 bucks isnt that bad, and is a big difference from 500 bucks.....if you didnt know , after 100 is 200, then 300, then 400, and then 500...WOOW THAT MAKES IT A $$$400 DOLLAR DIFFERENCE!!

springs are nice...don't cut your springs it kills your shock too

have you ever heard the term ..Lowering Springs... how else r you gonna lower your car..wait..ill list the ways..

1.Coilovers2.Drop springs3.h0m0(ghey) Coilover cupkit4.Heat up your springs5.Cut em6.Remove your Spring over shock setup

choose one..personally.. id go for 3-6

oh god...haha.

heating/cutting are both bad ideas.cutting your springs may result in to much being taken off, putting a risk on blowing the shocks.Heating the springs, you will have a very rough ride. As heating them takes the "spring" out of the "spring"also egay 100$ coilovers are a bad idea, lots of modification to even make em fit.still geh if you do get em on.

compress the spring...



then leave it on.

My god. Just save up a little money and do it properly the first time. If you can't afford to do that, then don't mod your car. Driving stock is not that bad. Really. Putting lowering springs on stock, worn out struts, will cause them to blow out faster. Soon you will have no money, a slightly lower ride, and absolutely no damping whatsoever.
