If your belts where not changed by the dealer prior to 2001, you have an old belt which is only good for about 60k miles (or an aftermarket one). If the dealer changed your belt in 2001 or after you have one of the newer Kevlar belts which are good for something like 120k miles or 25 years.

If you have any doubts about the condition of your belt or don't know if its been changed, get it changed. The J30 has an interference engine. If the belt breaks while running, your looking at either an engine replacement or rebuild.

That would be the timing belt. How many miles are on your car now? When was the last time the timing belt was changed?

The other belts (3 of them) are for the alternator, power steering, and a/c. If one or all of those break, the motor will still be fine. The accessory that had the broken belt will just not work.

You can change the rear diff fluid.

Did you have the transmission flushed or did you drop the pan, clean the pan and magnet, replace the filter, and install with new gasket? If just a flush, then it's time to change the transmission filter.

You can use a turkey baster and basically flush the power steering fluid out. Get all of the old out that you can, refill and repeat several days later untill it's clean. I like to add a bottle of Lucas Power Steering treatment when I do this.

You can use the turkey baster for the brake fluid. Get as much old out as you can, then put new fluid in and then bleed the brakes.

You can clean the throttle bodies.

I like to use 3 ounces of Lucas Fuel Treatment on every fill-up of gas. And of course, only use premuim gas.

Auto-RX is an awsome product to help clean the internals of an engine. Go to their site and look at the before and after pictures of the 240 sx engine. Amazing. (I just got done treating mine with this stuff.)

Another product that I like is Seafoam. Use it in the intake manifold to help clean the top of the engine. Can you say smokescreen?

There's a few more for you.

And you think you have OCD? Everytime I get a new (to me) vehicle, I change EVERYTHING!
