Anyone know how to find this out. It is an R33 RB25 but when ordering cams they are seperated by years. Mine has the variable cam timing too. I want a set of 256's to put in. This has been a long a drawn out project. I have been working on the car now on and off for 2 years. All I need to do is put in the cams, tune, weld in the cage, and spray the paint. Hopefully it will be done within the next few weeks.

As long as it's not a NEO head, the S1 and S2 cams are the same. You can look up your engine serial number on FAST to get the production date. I personally can't get it to work on my computer, but other guys have it. Post your engine code or VIN.

Thanks, i will get that tonight and post it. I am currently at work so the cars not here.

Another question, is $600 for a Power FC dyno tune a good price? That's just for the tune.

Depends on who is tuning that and how much different it is than stock. If you have gone to a d-jetro setup with signifigant difference from a stock motor then $600 isn't bad. Most reputable shops charge at least $150/hr to tune on a dyno. Setup, cool downs between runs, and any other timing between runs is counted as part of your time. To get a full tune in 4hrs isn't bad at all.

I pretty sure LATE LATE LATE S2 have a different CAS drive. Just make sure you don't have the black hitachi CAS and you should be okay.

They quoted me $295 for the dyno pulls and $100/hr to tune. They are one of 2 shops I can find within 2 hours of me that has FC experience.

As far as motor mods, I have a T-70 turbo, Greddy intake mani, 850cc Yashio Factory injectors, Accel Fuel pump, 3"exhaust with no cat and screamer pipe, Head port and polish, 90mm tb and MAF. And will be adding Tomei's 256 cams. Plan on running 18-20 psi. Whatever feels safer on stock lower end. by the way, what is the limit for that on a 25?

a dyno costs almost NOTHING to run. they should only charge you for the tuning not both.

My motor is numbered 38263.

And why is that a motor killer. I have been chatting with a guy that has the same GT3540, 70 cold side, 86 hot, and is running 607 whp. On stock internals and head at 21 psi.

And I am looking for 550-600ish whp.
