how do i know what SR20 i have?

here are pics. it was built for the sand rail i have. it came with this motor in it, and he put in a v6 and sold it to me. this motor is said to have over 400hp, it has a mega turbo, a pectel ECM (super ballin' iginition system). but how do i know anything about it? not really a car guy, mostly into offroad, but need to get an idea what its worth. he said he has 18k into it, including the pectel system, new rods, crank, pistons, custom intake, exaust etc... anyone think its worth a dime in this economy?

more or less, im trying to sell it. ill cut someone a smoking deal if they are interested. not sure if its worth drifting or if its better for a drag car. looks like a damn rocket ship motor.

It's a FWD SR, only really useful for someone with a FWD car, or wanting to do a rear engine car of some kind (buggy, super go-kart, etc).

can a rwd transmission be bolted to it? are there any cool fwd 240sx out there that would even want something like this?

Unfortunately, no. They have a different transmission bolt pattern.

Pretty much any 4 cylinder FWD Nissan could use it, mostly Sentras and newer 200SXs.

what about an awd transmission from a pulsar/skyline? still a different bolt pattern? if anything you could most likely part out stuff like the head/block/bottom end/pistons/turbo/ecm

Pulsar ya, GTi-R had a transverse AWD setup and an SR, it *should* bolt up.But the Skyline is a whole different animal, different engine, more RWD in design.

im gonna put it up for classifieds for sale. if you know anyone that has or wants a drag motor for a fwd car send them my way. ill kick you down $$ if we can sell this thing. its just collecting dust on a pallet. dont want to piece it out just yet...

thanks guys. my boss just wants it gone, its just sitting wrapped up collecting dust. it was great in the sand rail, but now everyone wants tq and puts in a LS motor. I have it on ebay and a few classifieds. he'd even trade for like a car or dirtbike for his son.
