why did you remove it?

and the cas is keyed so it only installs in 1 direction. if that key broke off you can install it WAY off. look inside the CAS and see if the half moon shaped key is still there.

and you are going to need to reset your timing once its back on and running. hope you have a timing light.

Step 1: Obtain FSMStep 2: Read FSM

There is a key on the exhaust cam and a matching peice in the CAS... You can literally only install it one way, unless you've broken off the piece on the cam (which seems to happen to alot of us). In that case just line it up how it "should" be and push it into place. Finger tighten the bolts, plug in the connector, and set your timing with a timing light. Refer to step #1 and step #2 for correct procedure and # degrees.....

no, this isnt a SR

and i gave you a damn straight answer. IT IS A KEYED SENSOR, IT WILL ONLY INSTALL 1 DIRECTION UNLESS THE KEY IS BROKEN. LOOK AT IT TO CHECK.

that clear enough?

and bull**** the FSM doesnt have the info. look harder.

Oh yeah FYI

It has to be at TDC when you install the crank angle sensor.

Uh, no the engine does not have to be at TDC to install the CAS. All you need to do is spin the CAS to line up with the cam, wherever it is. It takes a little finesse to start it right.

You ask for help, but disreguard advice which is what is making people angry.

Honestly this isn't rocket science.

that silver thing on the front of the motor, right?

i dont care what the upsidedown kangroo ****ers say, or what your FSM says. that is a camshaft position sensor. not crankshaft. try googling a skyline crankshaft position sensor, then camshaft.
