How do I identify a HICAS eqiuped S13?

I'm looking to purchase an S13 in the near future and I want to avoid the HICAS system. How can I be sure I'm not getting a car with the HICAS system???

Im not 100% sure but I think it say on the side of the car.

Yea i believe it says on the car as well. I remember seeing a red s13 with it.

I'm looking for a back up plan if the decal has been removed. I'm pretty sure it is on the side though.

There is a stripe on the side that says "SUPER HICAS".

There is also a light on the dash, to the lower right of the steering wheel.

If you look under the car there is a lot of extra equipment around the rear wheels.

it will also have abs

if the car has hicas, the owner will know. no matter how stupid/non car oriented the owner is, they will know if the car has 4 wheel steering.

also its decently rare, not much chance of just stumbling upon one.

Get a coupe, HICAS wasnt available on coupes.

Lesse, mine is a Hicas model...

they've got it all down right;

1) superhicas writing on black trim

2) hicas models had abs, but not all abs had hicas I believe, so if it's got abs take a closer look

3) hicas indicator light to lower right of steering wheel

4) the extra stuff around the rear wheels/axle

Also you could just take it for a test drive haha

If you get going about 30 mph or so and hold it in a constant radius corner you may suddenly realize the car is turning tighter than it was even though you haven't moved the wheel at all lol. Driving with hicas can be funny hehe =p

Hicas is pretty difficult to just end up with tho, you're more than likely not going to have that problem

not all hicas cars had abs.

if you want i can take pics of what to look for on my car tomorrow. but all the stuff is basicly easy to see.
