Quarter panels are spot welded on from the factory. There are quite a few welds and they are a ***** to drill out. Then you have the delima of rewelding the new 1/4 panels on in the correct spot. Basically, its the one panel other than the roof that the average person can't replace.

If you can't afford to fix things you break, you need to be more careful or not drive like an idiot.

I live in Kensington, MD. Just 3 or 4 miles from you.

But im afraid that S13's have the panels welded on so you cant get to them from the inside of the car. The Unibody covers the inside of the quarter panel, so you have to pull them from the outside!! I know, i have damage in the same area and ive let it go...

I know a real cheap body shop that will pull the dent for you on Connecticut avenue. I'll cost about 100 bucks at most. You should take a pic if u got a digital camera.

whoops... i think you dont get me here. You dont have to pull off the panel, just pull the dent out!

You'll have to deal with primer on the dents till you get a paint fix... but you dont want rust in there so its a toss up...Here's the address and phone number.

Autobodyfix.com (thats really what its called)3917 Plyers Mill Rd, Kensington, MD(301) 949-1944

Hope that helps. They did one dent on my Silvia front for $55!!

watch out with the body shops man.some dude backed out of the parking lot and turned too soon, hitting my 240 in the 1/4it was way back by the jack access, so i pulled the jack out and i hammered it out.the guy offered to pay thinking it was a bondo fix, so i got 5 body shop insepctions yesterday.because of the ripple in the fender they used instead of a pinstripe, the whole 1/4 has to be replaced.price?1300 to 2700 depending on the shop.needless to say, the guywont fork out that much cash =P

1/4 panels are not cheap to fix or replace, the average price at the cheapest shop around here for a decent sized dent in a 1/4 panel to be pulled and painted is $250-$450. You get what you pay for, just remember that. Bondo is not a good solution to fixing a large dent, if you read the can it says not to put it on more than a 1/4" thick. Talk to whatever shop you choose to do the work, and make sure they are going to hammer/pull the dent out and not just fill it. All dents will need some bondo to do the final smooth out work once they pull the dent, because you can't pull one 100% smooth, the metal is now stretched so it won't return to its normal position.

Also, before you think about getting behind it and trying to push it out or hammer it out, realize that if you stretch the metal even more, it makes the bodyshops job even harder and may cost you more. I've seen $250 jobs become $350 jobs because the owner decided to try to get it out themselves and streteched the metal and caused a bunch of little dents inside of the big one.

I just pulled a couple good sized dents out of mine with a $10 dent puller from auto zone, it worked great, just needed a little bondo and you can't tell the difference. Do it yourself, the experience is what you want so next time you don't even have to consider getting someone else to do it for $$$.
