From my research it's on the LEFT passenger side of the engine. I can see something with some hoses running there but how in the world does not access it to inspect it?

I can't see it from under the car and can't see it from above the car, the engine completely covers it.

It should be FAIRLY easy to find... it is bolted onto the intake manifold.

That's what it looks like.
There should be a hose coming off of your intake tube (before the throttle body)... about 1/2" or so. If you follow that, it leads to the IACV.
