Hmmm sounds like either a bad wiring job or you are getting alternator wine. Tell us your setup, maybe we can diagnose it.

I just connected the wires from the HU to the the hardness i bought, then connected them to my cars' hardness.. I think front speakers are stock.. the rear speakrs, the previous owner might had changed them.

Hmm... I would check his work. Make sure no bare wire is touching any part of the chasis in the back.

Noise might be caused by the alternator. Made by Hitachi, which does not have a noise cancellator. When there is a high load on the alternator you will hear the noise.

most likely it is alternator whine.. put a load on the alternator and see if the staic gets louder.. rev engine, put on ac , whatever it takes to draw more current the fizzz should get louder.. let us know man

when i hooked up an amp to power my back speakers, everytime i stepped on the gas it would whistle. i had a bad grounding place. check your grounding wire and try connecting it to diff places.

hey ren. exactly what kind of sound are you hearing?.. alternator whine is probably one of the most common noises you"ll hear. be careful with your grounds though .. you dont want a ground loop. i"ll explain more to you as you send input to the thread.

hey guys

sorry to resurrect an old thread like this but i got speaker static as well and this is the only thread the search turned up. so im gonna add my problem in here as well

my static is in all 4 of my speakers, i just installed my alpine 9833 unit and it seems to work fine, but whenever the unit is on and music is on as well then there is a steady static that is in all front/rear speakrs, doesnt go louder or quieter if i turn the volume up or down, nor does it go away when i fade all the volume to the rear speakers or the front ones

its really annoying although you cant hear it when you drive with music up

HELP!

btw. to wire i used the red connectors and crimped them reallllly hard, so i dont think the connections are ****ty..

TIAMax

PS. my stock sound system has the stock amps in the rear, so everything goes through that. could those 10 year old amps put the stable static in the speakers?
