How would I go about fixing this? It's the same on both sides and it looks like its in a dangerous part... I was thinkin bout just painting over it with a lot of rustoleum or something - would this prevent it spreadin - I also want to seal it up completely before the winter so snow/etc doesnt get in there... advice tips the usual appreciated

dont think rustoleum is going to stop it, but only slow it down. You might want to cut it and weld sheet metal there, its not a very good picture so i dont know where the problem is, and toss on some truck bedliner over the sheet metal, that will protect it from the weather

That's actually the frame by the front right tire, jus a little behind. Slathered some rustoleum on there, figure better than nothing. Im going to a shop to replace my exhaust soon so ill see what they say bout the welding

You should see my car. It has rust everywhere, especially on the sides. Hate it! I don't know if I shoul take it to a body shop. Seems like they might charge a lot. But I think that might be the only option.

the only way to get this stuff cheaply is to do alot of prep and get the needed stuff yourself, like when im taking my car for a paint im gonna quickly sand it all down and wire brush out the rust use some bondo on body and weld the holes in the floor, rocker bannels are ****ed in mine so im looking for new ones....

on topic, The rust is on you... FRAME!!!!!!!! that is what keepds your car together and safe, dont d!ck around. look for a good FRAME shop(frames are specialty) and pay to have it done right then get the car alligned. costed me $1200 and a 24 of corona for my frame. but its worth it.

Yea my rust spots are on the rocker are disgusting, but I don't wanna pay for that, labor is ridiculous. Ima start welding soon, my boss has a few welders and I plan on getting a nice one, I'll start playing around. Im gonna try to do my rocker pannels, once I do GTR, if you wanna wait for a bit, ill try your rust. I just notice today I have some around the same spot, not as bad, but it's starting.
