i was wondering, how does a person disconnect the speed governer? i got a 93 ka24de. i had a shop do the swap and they did a real cheesy job, and wasn't really around cause of work, so i'm not sure, but would a 93 ecu have to be with the motor, or could he have just left the one from the 89 sohc? and i heard it's just a wire that needs to be cut. which one? yeah, if ya can't tell i'm a newbie.

You really should have searched. lol.

I'll tell you before the flame throwing burgade gets here.

Cut the Yellow wire with the green stripe. It runs by the ECU twice, however and if you cut the wrong one your cruise wont work. If you cut the wrong one just crimp it back together and cut the other one.

Then you'll notice your car rev limits at 6500 in 4th and 5200 in 5th. To get rid of this you need to disconnect the 4th and 5th gear transmission sensors. They are the two in the middle. The last large round one is a speedometer sensor and the first one is for 1st-3rd gears.

Just for good measure here is a thread that is still current and up to 3 pages on the very topic you seeked. zer...age=1

Now RUN!!!!!!! RUN LIKE HELL BEFORE THE FLAMING BEGINS!!!!!
