I think I may have pushed the wrong sequence of buttons on my door remote, or dropped it 8' to the ground, and somehow activated the anti-theft system which locked out the starter circuit. Everything inside the car works when I turn the key but no sounds (click) from the starter. Also tried jumpstarting and she would not turn over. I had this same problem 4 or 5 months ago after fiddling with the remote in my pocket but have not had any issues with the starting system before this and the battery is less than a year old.
I've been troubleshooting per the FSM and searched here. All I've come up with is a simple sequence of locking and unlocking with the remote or the key and none of this has worked. I know Wes has doled out the correct sequence more than once but can't seem to find the thread.
Anybody recall the correct lock/unlock sequence for this? Thanks in advance.
