I just went to the track last night and my traction was horrible. Most in part due to my tires but i also have lots of wheel hop. I had my AGX's set the 8 in the back and 3 in the front. Would changing these make my launch any better (im sure it would). I cut a 2.2 60' with mud and snow tires but i know for sure i can do better with a better suspension setup and drag radials.

im not an expert on this, but i would say a bushing install on the control arms would definitly help, especialy if you are running the originals. subframe bushings should also help a lot. i would think, to maximize traction in the rear (understeer) you would want the front as stiff as possible and the rear as soft as possible, but i have never tuned for a launch or drag racing. by softening the rear relative to the front you would increase the speed of the weight transfer to the rear, which your launch should benifit from.

Set the front rebound to 100% hard, rear rebound to 100% soft and try it again.

Lower air pressure to about 28 psi, and no burnout.

Wheel hop is a result of compliance and subframe movement. The main two factors are the large subframe bushings and the differential mounting bushings in some cars.

You can also lessen the effect by running a lighter tire and wheel in the back.

A rear sway bar SO STIFF that the rear suspension is no longer independent............something stiffer than the spring rate > 27-30mm solid.

i also forgot to mention that i was running a 205/r65/15 in the rear...they were free from work. The sidewall is extremely huge. i had the tire psi to 24. did sidewall have any part of wheel hop?

Typically shorter sidewall tires cause wheel hop, not tall sidewall tires.

I think a 2.2 is pretty bad. I ran a 2.222 with wheelhop - 14.4qtr. I know for sure 240's have a much more potent 60'.
