I know I know, search right?

Nope, not for me I guess.

Only type of maf's I find people cleaning are the ones with screens in them buy mine has no screen.

Inside the maf is just a slot on the wall, is the sensor in that slot? If not where is part of the maf I clean? People say be very gentle with a q tip and some maf cleaner, anyone know how to do this? Thanks a bunch.

Not sure if this is the NOP but im sure someone will correct me if im wrong. This is what i did and it works fine. Got MAF sensor cleaner from auto zone.I unscrewed the sensor from the housing.Sprayed the elements on the sensor for 10 seconds and i let them dry. Repeated alot. Then sprayed the housing till clean. Sprayed out the hole in the front of the maf untill clean.

Let both parts dry and reassembled. Works fine.

Ok, that helps a little. Where exactly is the sensor located on the maf? Like if I was looking through the maf, where would I spray? In that little crevice/slot thing? Thanks

Up top where the black box is, part that plugs into the maf, i removed the 2 screws and sprayed that separetly. Mainly b/c i didnt see a drain hole or a hole on the opposite side and didnt want that sensor soaking in cleaner.

Then i placed the sensor in a safe place( dont want anything touching the elements) and sprayed and cleaned the rest of the housing, cleaned the hole in the front, basically filled that hole and tried to flush anything out, and let everything air dry for about an 1hr to 1 1/2 hrs.

If you want i can take some pics when i get home, i have a second one that broke so i can show you exactly what im talking about.

I never take mine out of the housing, i just spray through that hole. clean all around in there too and spray again. That usually works fine.
