Just pulled the blower out of my cousin's 93 Altima. Checked the plug in the dash and it had 12 volts.

Now, how do I test the blower itself to see if its dead for sure? Can I just connect a 12v battery to it directly? Or, is it pretty safe to conclude that if there was 12v at the connector, the blower is indeed dead?

Just connect a postivie and negative wire from the battery directly to the 2 in the blower. It should then spin.

If it doesn't, then its broke.

Hah, so we wired it up to the battery and it came on. Plugged it back in and it seemed to come on only at certain angles, so I banged on it with a hammer until it worked consistently. $450 beater car, so this will suffice.
