How do I check the relays. Where are they?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but this is my first Infiniti and I'm not sure where the relays are. My issues are the cruise control and my brake lights will turn off and on at random. Also the speedometer will quit at random. Sometimes if I tap the dash it will return. Also the odometer works at random as well. Really weird. Thanks for any info.

You will need an experienced expert to disasssemble dash and find the intermittent connections.......................speedo/odo may be a separate coincidental problem?

Start by downloading 1996 FSM and studying hundreds of pages, then start testing.

Or pay an expert.

Watch Ebay or the forum classifieds for a replacement instrument cluster. Far less than $100 might solve many of your problems.

As for the cruise control relay, its an easy remove & replace with a known good relay.

Thanks for the info. I might just have to change the cluster. Don't have enough money to take it to a expert. I love my Q and this website. Even with all the problems I wouldn't trade it for any of my other crappy cars that I've had. PS. Is there a thread explaining how to change a control cluster?
