how do i change my axle seals??

I went to the dealer the other day because I noticed i was leaking transmission fluid. they told me my axle seals were bad and wanted 600 to change them. i'm very mechanicly inclined but have never done this before. so could someone give me alittle advice. I have a 2000 i30t by the way. thanks in advance..
