what the topis states. I had the head rebuilt and the motor hasn't run in over 6 months. So I heard I should put the cheapest oil ever in and let it idle for 15-20 mins drain it see if there is any stuff in the pan and then put new in drive it around town for 50 to 100mph and then I should be fine. dose this sound right? or should i do something else?

Get some decent oil to put in the engine. I suggest regular ol' Valvoline or Castrol GTX. Run it in varying the RPM with light load on the motor for about 5-10 minutes.

Rebuild head won't put anything in the drain pan.

Just pull the valvecover after you change the oil.

let idle, check for leaks, take it for a ride FLOOR it in A gear, not 2 not 3 but just ONE. do NOT slow down by braking. let engine rev down repeat several times, let cool down. do this till the compression is right (170-185ish) if you baby it, it will never, never, never, did i say never? oh yeah, NEVER let the rings seat properly.

basically, you can baby it drivin home or whatever, but floor it in the process.

SORRY for a head i am not sure, so nismofreak is on this one.

good regular oil with a good oil filter(nissan) not the cheep fram. change the oil in 500 miles, don't go full boost.
