how do i bleed lifters on a rb20?

It is a labor intensive job that you shouldn't need to do unless your lifters are very dirty. What makes you think you need to bleed your lifters manually? They should bleed automatically with oil pressure from your oil pump.

well they r ticking a little bit and i want to get rid of the tick so i figured i shoudl bleed them, but my oil pump works so should the tick eventualy go away?

That is the nature of the beast, hydraulic lifters tick a little bit. If they are ticking a lot and it is concerning you, then I'd replace them. I actually have a set that I completely disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled if you decide to go that route.

Do you know what your oil pressure is at idle and higher rpms?

yea i kinda figured that but its hard to say "yea i just rebulit it before i installed it but it still makes ticking sounds". haha. well my oil pump only has 60,000 miles on it but i dont have a guaged hooked up but i will soon so i will know then.

You can find a difference in noise just from the oil. what oil are you running? I vary weights from summer to winter

I sent my lifters off to Mizpah performance, or mizpah manufacturing or something like that. After shipping I think it was around $80. My valve train was kind of noisy while the lifters pressurised, but now make little to no noise at all. I run 10w 30 Mobil 1 synthetic.
