I need to adjust the fuel door release cable on my S13, I have to practically STAND on it to get it to release.

How do I shorten it up?

THanks guys!

hey AZhitmani had the same problem with my car...it might not necessarily be the cable... try bending the pin on the fuel tank door; your's might be too far to the right or left like mine was... check it out it might work. i messed around with mine for a bit and it works fine now.hope it helps!

Theres no real way to adjust it, when you open your fuel door you should see a plastic nut holding the opening lever. The plastic nut should be tight. Your cable might not be attached properly. Take off the trunk liner on the side that has the fuel door. you should see the latch attached to the Fuel door. there should be 2 hard plastic gromets on the cable attached tot the latch. Most of the times they slip off, just make sure they are on right. I had the same problem, the 2 plastic gromets was not properly attached to the latch had to push it as hard as I could.Sometime the latch itself is broken. I have a spare latch if you need it I give it to you.

Good info guys, thanks much!

I will fiddle with it and see if I can make it work.

That part is NO fun to get to on a convertible.
