How difficult to replace Auto trans for novice?

I found a cheap 240 but it needs a new transmission. But I found an auto transmission as well. How difficult would it be do drop the old one and bolt up the new one for a novice?

Should i attempt it?

or should i have a pro do it and how much labor am I lookin at?

If you have the time, and tools to do it and you are confident in yourself, you can do about anything. Grab yourself a FSM so when you need some information, you can refer to it.
