How difficult is it to peice together a turbo kit to save a little cash. I want to rebuild a ka24de and I want about 250 hp. I was just wondering what you opinions are on the the whole thing. Or would it be easier/cheaper to get a SR or RB. Keep in mind that I've never dealt with turbo applications, but I'm not clueless. If you could provide a list of necessary parts and prices it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go for it. Not really all that expensive or hard to do. Can get a lot of good turbo's for cheap and build a system. I'm a fan of the KA-T. Kinda like a stroked SR if you build it right

If you use the right parts that aren't junk, anything is possible.

Now with the ease of using the SR Turbo setup on the KA and only wanting 250hp, it is probably possible to get a complete setup for under $1K. I have done too much "bling bling" on my setup so its way more. The range of KA turbo setups can be a huge difference in prices. Just look around and decide what you want.
