Hello. My '95 no longer passes inspection. My mechanic says it needs a full brake job including brake lines which are corroded. He wanted $1500 which I think is way too much to spend on this car. Thus, I am considering taking on the job myself since even after purchasing any tools I need, it works out to be way cheaper than what the mechanic quoted. Does anyone here have experience doing a full brake line replacement? If so, how difficult was it?

I took mine in to a brake place, look at my thread. What they did looks factory.

How much did it cost?

I did my calipers myself, rebuild them when it’s all tore down, good time to paint them then. I had them do the back lines and bleed the system. It was a couple hundred.
Just flat bed it up to the shop when you get the calipers done. It was around 300$ for all 4 to rebuild.

It was a couple hundo to do the back 2 lines and bleed out.
I called a flat bed when I got the calipers on and painted.
