I have a little money.I have a dream, in which a jdm motor of my choice resides under my hood.Preferably a ca, i dont really know why.

Anyway, i hear that you all apparently dont like to adapt the KA harness to this motor and im wondering is it cause of the computer connection or what?I cant find any diagrams of this stuff anywhere, so im pretty much in the dark right here.

You only use a little of the KA harness. Notably the plugs by the battery and to lengthen the MAF plug and power steering sensor. The rest is junked.

You'd be better off running standalone before you try and adapt the KA harness. Different ignition system, injectors, the ignitor, different MAF plug, the ECU connection... the KA harness would be alright as a source of wire for generating a completely custom harness, but adaption would be frustrating and likely futile.

the KA uses alot of different plugs... i suppose if your motor comes with a cut harness you can mesh the two harnesses together.

Or you can email TMS and he'll send you a CA harness from japland he hooked me up with a harness, ecu, maf, ignitor, dropping resistor and every other sensor on the motor for extras (basically everything i needed to get my motor running) and he gives pretty damn good deals! i'm not sure if he's still willing to do that, but its worth a shot

another thought i had, was you might be able to modify a pulsar harness to work... they use all the same sensor and stuff, so if you mesh a pulsar harness with a 240 harness I'd imagine you could make it run... If it was me, i'd find a friend willing to loan you a CA18DET harness to lay out next to the pulsar and 240 harness to copy it. If i put a CA in the s12 I might try doing this as I have the harness in my s13 to copy from

IIRC the Pulsar and DET ECUs are way different so the ECU connector part wouldn't work, so you'd be up a creek regardless.

i think you're correct, but your nissan dealer should have a box full of blue plugs... i know we used to have a container of assorted ones at my dealership
