I'm cranking up my TV playing a collection of Judas Priest videos and I am stuck by how obvious it was. The leotard and spikes? C'mon Rob! oh well he was a good singer at least. I think I want to dig my spikes out and start wearing them again. 32-year-old guy dressed like an 80s headbanger, not sure if even I could make that work.I miss the eighties oh goood one just started!

kids, do yourself a favor and aquaint yourself with the old-school heavy metal. Don't get me wrong i like the Linkin Park and Bizkit, Slipknot and Korn etc. but this driving guitar is distinctive and it's good stuff. A few of my personal reccomendations

I saw Halford Band open for Queensryche and Iron Maiden a few years back. Out of those three lead singers... Halford is the only one who still sounds like he's 20 years old.
The rest are still amazing and still great metal singers... just with a slightly more limited range. Halford can communicate with freakin' bats!!! That old metal master can still scream higher than one would care to think.
Oh... and after the show he and his bodygaurds went directly to "The Underground"... a gay bar in Portland. And NO I didn't go too... two of my friends were there and got Halford's autograph!
