how could you tell the difference between s13 black top and s14 black top

how could you tell the difference between s13 black top and s14 black top. I found an sr20det black top for sale, it is black top. The guy says it is an s14, it is missing the Exhaust manifold and the turbo.

The back of the valve cover slants down on S14, on s13 it's flat all the way across from the front to the back.

I got 2 nissan pulsars, and one 93 300zx, but my first car was and is an 87 pulsar, I put in a ca18det engine and did bunch of mods to it here is a link to my website http://www1.freewebs.com/pulsargtr/I had it for six years, and I put the ca18det in 2 years ago. I run 14.3 sec 1/4 mile at 16psi with serious traction problem , but now I got a t28 and 550cc injectors and a pair of slicks, I haven't installed them, waiting for the summer. I am from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

you can also look right at the front of the head, there is a hump on the intake cam side of the S14/S15 motor. No hump on the S13.

Thanks guys, the engine I was looking at turned out to be an s13 with black top, the guy has it without the turbo or the turbo manifold and he is selling it for 700us. I was going to pick it up. but now the idea is on hold .
