how come the light is on after a long lag?

Dear All Experts,

I am now running a 95 J30. And this just happened tonight, I lost my headlight for almost 1 minute in the dark. And the light was back on. I did a test on the light afterwards, the headlight will not be on immediately but after a lag of 1 mintute, sometime in less time, after a clear sound of click somewhere.

What is the problem? How could I fix it.
