I'm confused, everyones talking about powershifting in their 240 and if im correct power shifting is when your foot is still on the gas ask you hit in the clutch and shift. I cant even get close to doing that, instead it grinds or doesnt go in at all? Whats the best technique for shifting into gears?

Probably the clutch. A clutch is suppose to act like a fuse. It blows, and the transmission stays ok. And my clutch is starting to slip, I figure it because I shift like that all the time. Well, it only slips on the street, take the car to the track and she runs like a dream... kind of funny how that works.

Power shifting is when you let off gas, and shift with clutch still in. It doesnt damage clutch, if you screw up its bad for synchros tho. Just take the extra .1 sec and use the clutch, youll be glad u did.I had a Saab and powershifted all the time cuz it went so easy, but even w/out grinding the trans started to fuk up. It would grind the 1-2 shift even when i used clutch.

The trick to doing it tho, is let off gas and immediately shift and dont be afraid to push it in with some guy juice.

Oh i c, i always thought it was just keeping on the gas and jamming it in. thats what some guy told me before. Sounds a little to dangerous to try, i dont have the money to back it up if anything happened to my car.

yeah, I wouldn't do it if you can't afford a new transmission... My friend messed up mis 3kgt at the track powershifting.. now it grinds gears :(
