Maybe it's weird to me becuase im coming from a honda backround(which I will never be going back to).Alot of honda's I see have small wheels like 14's,15's and 16's

Is there a reason for a bigger size in wheels?Share your opinions...

The smallest size in wheels I would probably put on my Zenki is probably 16's but I would never put 18's on there thats to big IMO...

To handle more powaaaaaa...honestly i think that 18's can be look good just depends on how the owner works it in w/the rest of the car....17's seem to be the norm on 240's with a good amount of slammed s13's on 15's-16's....

A lot of times the wheels we like only come in bigger sizes. I would love to get a set of 16"s for my car but eurolines and farmas are super hard to find in anything under a 17".

My reason for having bigger wheels is because I think it just looks sexy to see lots of rim and little tire spinning ridiculously while drifting.

It depends on what you are building the car for, and how much grip you need. If you were gonna drag race the car, then I would say go with a 15 " with more sidewall, the same for autoX but get 4 sticky tires. Drifting, whatever size you like, I like my 18x9.5 rears with 245's, for control and some grip while spinning.

Most of any size wheel looks good on the 240sx, just as long as you dont have 50mm rear fenders and 15" stock wheels, or worse, dubson any 240sx.

LMAO

Also I have seen 19's on a Kouki and it looked good. The owner really pulled it off.

But for me the biggest I go is 18'

Mine are 17's b/c of brakes

...but I'm toying with selling these and running 18's in the same wheel because they really do look good and are still VERY light! I'd say if your not running big brakes you can pull off 16's with some oversize section width tires... that still looks good on S13's and maybe S14's since the cars aren't all that big...

Exactly! Bigger wheels to fill in bigger wheel wells , especially on S14's . S13's wheel wells are smaller, therefore you don't need as big of wheel to fill up the space. Same reasoning why Honda's can pull off putting 14's and 15's on. Also, because that's the fad for Honda's these days. Don't you remember those days when Honda guys were throwing 18's and 19's on thier cars.

Same reason anything under 20" looks small on BMW E6x's... I just finished modding this one for my uncle (20" Vorsteiners... don't worry it's not driven in the snow... just outside for pics):

^^

Anyways, I've got 18s on my s13. I think they look great. I'll be picking up a track set (15 or 16) because tires will be expensive but plenty of people run 17s or 18s as their track set.

*sigh i know, I had more typed but on second though i just cut a bunch of text out to make a shorter post. i was going to comment on how my z32 brakes dont fit my wheels without a spacer, and had to grind down the "nissan" logo, but after removing that part out, what was left made it sound like 16in on z32 brakes was special

18"+'s means replacing suspension joints more often.
