How come 2.5ers are looked down on by 3.5ers?

Look, we know our cars are slower then yours 3.5's, it is common knowledge. I bought my 2.5 because it is a beautiful car, and I was looking for something to commute to work every day. I didn't buy it to race other people, if I had I would have bought a 3.5 or better yet a 350z. An Altima Coupe is an Altima Coupe, I respect them all, and the hate needs to stop.

To be honest I test drove both cars and have to say the 2.5 has some balls for a 4 cyl. I did go with the 3.5 however just for that little extra and the dealer didnt have any color/package combo I wanted in the 2.5s.

You can always rub your better gas milage in our 3.5ers faces I suppose.

Sure I wish my 2.5 was faster. I didn't have alot of scratch when I bought my coupe. If I did, I would've gotten the 3.5 or a G. Now that I'm a little better off, I'd rather just keep the car that I'm attached to and work on that rather than dump it and get a new one. Like everyone else here, I freakin' love my coupe!

Theres always a better faster car. and all the people that actually bust balls about their 3.5 being faster are envious of someone else's faster car. you could have an 86 civic and be like DAMN that 2.5 A.C is sick. then you buy one and you're like 'should have got the 3.5' .you could get the 3.5 and you want the Z. etc. and its not like the 2.5 is BETTER all around. yes its faster, but its not THAT FAST plus you gotta pay more insurance and worse gas mileage than the 2.5. honestly maybe you didn't have the money or didn't think the 3.5 was practical enough. i would have got a bugati if i had a million bucks to blow on a car and needed to go 250 mph but i didn't.

if u go to the dealer and ask which is better.....hes gonna say they are pretty much the same...just the 3.5 has a little more oomff.......cant hate the 2.5s they are fuel efficient.......and anyways....a lot of the 2.5s on here look a lot nicer than the 3.5s......i have a 3.5 and i admit i wish mine looked like a lot of the 2.5s.as long as your happy with your car, then no one can bash you and make you feel bad about your car.

i bet a lot of the 2.5s on here are worth more than some of the 3.5s also with all the custom mods and what not

What would a nissan forum be if the 3.5s didnt bust the 2.5 every once and a while. what would a civic forum be if the B18C1's didnt mess with the B16A2's. its just for fun man. we all love our cars and have our reasons for buying it. its just fun. personally if i could have bought a 3.5 and thought it was in my budget i would have. But noone is looked down upon by anyone it just is what it is.

I almost bought a 3.5 i looked into it and yea it was a little bit more responsive to getting up and going, but then i drove the 2.5 and i liked it just as much, i like that its pretty quick for only 4 cyl, all in all i am happy with the 2.5 i think its a quick car compared to other n/a 4 bangers around my area.

I love my 2.5S A/C! Its the BEST damn car I have ever owned My gas mileage was so f***ING awesome when we went to Vegas last week, I made it from LA to Vegas and still had over half a tank!

AND, i got to see how fast it would go...my wife out of the blue, says "Honey, this looks like a good place to gun it!" No one in front of us, no one behind us, and got it to 112mph. All of a sudden, there were cars in front of me, lol, had to back her down, but that was fun

This thread is one big cry for help. If anyone with a 2.5 wants help coping with the fact that they have a motor bred for fuel economy, they are more than welcome to come take a ride in my 13mpg 3.5T I can't keep off the pedal
