I recently cleaned the leather on my M and now I get a rubbing sound coming from the center console and driver seat.

Does your M's driver seat touch the center console?

Thanks

I had the same issue a few weeks back. Treat the side of the console and the hard plastic cover where the seat bottom and back meet with your choice of vinyl dressing.

I believe my seat touched the center console until I had something fixed/replaced under warranty. My seat didn't move when braking like most, but it didn't move up and down right and felt like the right was lower. I complained about the right being lower and they said something was broken. I don't remember what, but I assume it was the same problem as often complained about in other threads in this forum. However, you are most likely out of warranty, so if you can live with it, SmoovC's solution is probably the way to go, especially if you don't have any complaints with the seat other than that noise.

Hahahaha thats f*** up, but if it really bothers you unbolt your seats and rebolt them and use the free play and force it left away from the center console so it doestn rub. Cheap solution

I had this for awhile. If you looked at it carefully you could see my drivers' seat back was leaning a bit towards the console. I had the dealer look at it, and he said I needed to replace the seat base. While I was thinking about that, the driver's seat broke with a big "clunk" one day and won't go up and down anymore (as discussed in another thread on this forum). But it doesn't rub anymore. Leans slightly to the left now and something goes "thunk" when I corner sometime.

So keep an eye on it, and if you have an extended warranty get it looked at quick. You might be on borrowed time.

The seat moves each direction just fine. This is confusing.

Hate to say it but - you're drivers seat will break soon - this is how mine started. If you're under warrantee, get to the dealer asap! Check here to see what you're looking at sooner than later -

I had this problem a few months ago. I had to have my seat frame replaced. THe seat even now leans up against the center console during moderate to hard conering. I am a big guy, but this does not happen in my wife's 2008 acura TL. It just seems like Infiniti/nissan has a design issue with their seats.
