jack up your car by the rear diff, making sure to chalk front wheels.

Then you can either look for an orange sticker that says VLSD or spin the wheels. if they both spin together LSD, spin opposite is open diff or i could be a 1.5 but those weren't factory in 240's.

Well, it's a delicate situation. First the intervention is needed. Explain to it that the precise mechanism by which LSD alters perceptions is still unclear. Evidence from laboratory studies suggests that LSD, like hallucinogenic plants, acts on certain groups of serotonin receptors designated the 5-HT2 receptors, and that its effects are ..... Oh .... wait .... nevermind.

If it doesn't have ABS then it wouldn't have it unless someone put it in later (unless its a Canada car, but that's doubtful).

A stock s13 with lsd had the optional sports handling package. It would been a HICAS car but it would also have abs.

ABS and non abs are like an 1" different in length and the one unit I helped install had like 1/4- 1/2" difference in thickness

There are also a few coupes and hbs that had ABS/VLSD without HICAS. It was a very rare option, but it is around.

Calmly and slowly, you don't want to freak it out if it is tripping balls.

Even if it has a stock LSD you should still get something better.

I agree with Om3ga. HLSD is the minimum I'd go with....Hey, what do you know?! That is what I went with! A VLSD is better than open, but not by much. My S14 sometimes still pulled single tire burnouts with a VLSD.
