How can you tell when you need welding?

Just wondering how can you tell when you need some parts of the body reweilded does one part become really shakey or what? I have a 90 so i figure 12 years must have weakened something.

just do a good visual of all the body joints and look for broken spot welds. you should be more concerned with bushings and bearings at 12 yrs old. unless the cars been driven and kept outside in a salt state. then your probably lookin at some serious body rott
