The 25 is a big mutha, bigger than your KA, the 20 looks about the same as the KA. The 25's shiftbox cover is smaller and angled down towards the tail whereas the 20's is flat. Put up a picture and most of the members here can tell you instantly what you have.

Are joking? you have to have a RB25 or RB20 transmission unless you have some crazy *** adapter for the KA. Either way though 25 or 20 it requires a custom drive shaft.I must ask how much did you pay for your car? Because you didnt do the work obviously.Kids

dont attack someone about doing their own work right after you give out incorrect information

a stock 240 5 speed driveshaft will work with a RB20 transmission.

Sorry just dont give much respect to those who buy their cars and know nothing about them. Sorry I dont pay much attention to the RB20 (pointless motor IMO).

You might want to hold that opinon, you are in the RB section of this forum and your downing an RB motor, according to a few videos that i've been watching, the RB25 pulls on the RB20 only a little bit in stock form. And i hope you have a RB swapped 240 before you talk about what motor is pointless.

I suggest a mod answer his question and close the thread cause i have a feeling it's bout to get ugly in here.

I know, f-in spraybars, are you kidding me? They stopped using those back in the latter days of the L series engines. Everything is about nostaligia it seems. Hey may they will go back to SOHC or even pushrods right?

I believe that Kansei240sx has a good example of what an RB25 DE transmission looks like .. (He got a DE transmission instead of a DET by accident with his motorset. ) There was a comparison recently about this, and I thought it was a sticky..

*edit* Nope, Kansei took care of it above.
