How can you tell if you have AWD?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

So I purchased an AWD Journey Non-NAV but on the paperwork for the car, it says Base Model? Other than the RWD model, I never imagined the Journey models would be considered to be a base model, aside from the Tech + Nav package opt out. I noticed on the RWD Models also had the SNOW button, so how exactly can one tell the difference between a RWD Journey and an AWD Journey EX35? For those who have the snow button on the RWD, how well does it perform in the Snow? Just curious.

I also have an AWD Journey base model. No option, no railing, except some leather seats, home link rear view mirror etc. I prefer lighter car.

Why don`t you look at the WINDOW STICKER when you bought the car? Check if the vin# match with your paper work. I`m just wondering too if the light on the AWD button for RWD car will illuminate
when push it to on position? My AWD button lights up when I turn it on.

i don't recall seeing the AWD button light up when i turn on snow mode. from what i read here in the forum, snow mode only reduces your power from 0-20mph so that you won't spin out of control. it doesn't turn on your awd

What I meant was the SNOW MODE button should light up when on.(The actual button on the center console below) I think It`s yellow or amber in color on my 2008 AWD journey base. So the RWD version has this too? Is it just a fake cover to fill the gap on the center console? or it`s still a full working Snow mode that reduces throttle input?
