How can you tell if you definitely got a 248 Exhaust cam?

I installed one that was marked the proper color, but I don't know if it's definitely the right cam.

Anyway to tell? Idle seems a little more 'tough' but I also did an exhaust.

Thanks

Find true TDC with a degree wheel on the crank. Then measure how many degrees it is open for at .050" lift. Don't know if there are any markings to clue you off

Is there a way to tell by sound...there is one on streetfire, but it sounds like the guy did the 3 tooth method as it's majorly loping.
