Radiator Fluid?LOLOL!!! Sorry but that was funny. If your head was warped you would have coolant in the oil or vice versa. Also you could run a compression check. Does your car smoke?

The only way to tell if your head is warped is to pull it and check with a flat edge and feeler gadges.

If the head is warped, the headgasket isn't going to seal and will have the same symptoms of a blown headgasket.

Depending on where the head gasket isn't sealing several things can happen

- Coolant can get mixed into the cylinders, and you will burn coolant- Coolant can get mixed into the oil (or oil into the coolant) and your oil or coolant resivour will turn milky brown- Coolant or oil can actually leak from where the head meets the block.

You'd lose compression so you must be lucky.Check your oil to see if it's pure though. And do a compression test to be 100% sure everything is good.

just curious....i would think that if a piston was cracked it would eventually fail shortly after and break into little pieces and scroe the cylinder walls. also if it was cracked wouldn't you burn oil like a mother? i jsut don't see how it could run fine

it started with my compression on cyl 4 cutting about in half. i kept driving because the car was still really fast and i was planning to build a motor anyhow. as the months wore on she started blowing some oil out the breather filter and idling rough. i did not bother to do a compression test at that point. i just took her apart(with the block in the car) expecting to just do a re-ring and freshen up. nope, check my members rides gallery for pics. i blew the 2nd ring land. top land was fine. it left a gouge in the cyl wall that was cleaned up by a .020 overbore. that means the gouge was less than .010 deep. not bad for an iron liner being rubbed on by a piece of chromed steel at 7000+ rpm under boost!
