how can you tell if a 240 has ABS?

hi, im trying to buy another 240 and i came across this 97 se. i checked out the car today but not sure if it has abs or not. please let me know if there is anyway i can find out if it has abs. thanks

pop the hood.

Look in the engine bay.

If the brake lines going from the master cylinder just go straight across the engine bay & down along the frame w/o connecting to an ABS box, then there is no ABS.

You have ABS.

Please don't listen to the previous two posts. Listen to broke. All you have to do is look under the hood for the monstrosity that is the ABS unit.

But what if the car is equipped w/ ABS, but the abs is defective?

It's not like checking for ABS by popping the hood is all that hard...

one of the quickest ways i guess is to cycle ur key and see if you have an abs light in ur cluster. another way take off one of ur front wheels and see if you have any electrical wires running to ur brake/hub area
