visually inspecting the guides is the ONLY way to know for sure. at your mileage, your on borrowed time as it is. if you plan on keeping the Q, they need to be changed now! when i bought my Q from a fellow member here, it had around 110k, he told me the guides weren't changed, but an infiniti dealer tech, told him "not to worry, you can hear when the guides are going, and yours sound fine". that was a month before i bought it. i drove the Q immediatly to get the guides changed and found the driver side was already in pieces laying in the oil pan!!!!!! i lucked out, the chain could've jumped 5 minutes after i bought it! no way of telling without looking
