How can I turn Aircondition (A/C) Off ... While in Re-circulation Mode ???

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

It seems like every time I push the 'Recirculate' Air button, the Aircondition turns on ...

And when I turn off the airconditioner .. it automatically goes to "outside air intake" ...

And when I press the 'Air recirculate' button again, it switches on the Airconditioner.

Is there nothing that could be done about this ???

Seems like the manual only recommends setting it at 75 degrees - well that does not seem to turn off the air-conditioner.

And it's annoying, also, to have the AC still on when you cycle through the heating modes. For example, when you have lower air flow and you want upper air flow as well, it cycles through defrost mode, turning on the AC to remove humidity. But it doesn't turn off when you arrive at a mode that doesn't require humidity removal.

Yes, its bugging me. I prefer to turn aircondition off because sometimes you get that aweful smell from the outside and you want to close the vents.
