how can I take the lines off?

I got my V with lines on the side. How can I take them off without damaging the paint?

Do you mean pinstriping? Why would you want to take it off? I'd leave it.

if it is like the dealers sticker then it will not be a problem getting off just use the goo gone or i used just plain alcohol after i removed the stickers.

then just give it a coat of wax

If you use goo gone, make VERY sure you have completely cleaned it all off your car once it's done. I'd probably go so far as to wash the car.

Goo gone is great for removing things. Including your paint.

I once melted a cash register receipt printer by accidentally leaving a rag with goo gone vapors (no liquid, just vapors) on it overnight. Completely destroyed the top covers, damaged the internal mechanisms... wasn't pretty.

I did that this afternoon. Some residue left, but nothing too bad. I washed it and it was fine.

I got the lines off yesterday. They peeled right off and then I used goo gone to scrub the yucky glue off. It didn't even take too long since there were two of us doing it. One peeling, one scrubbing. Washed the car and it looks wonderful now! No more stripes! Will give it a nice wax this weekend. Also worked in taking the dealership sticker off the back!
