I have had a high idle "problem" with this car for quite some time now. I am not 100% sure my IACV is actually working because my idle is high (1200 RPM). I have reset my TPS so that is fine. I have replaced the IACV once already. I have the idle adjustment screw all the way in as well. I can't find any vac. leaks at all.

If I put a meter across the IACV what should I be seeing when the car is idling?

Car also idles rich, but I think that may be because it won't settle down into the idle area.

Mod list is in my signature.

Thanks guys!

If you unplug the iacv it should change the idle. The other way to test is to make sure the blue/white wire has 12v ign, and the other wire has good continuity back to the ecu.

Some things i've seen that cause high idling are boost leaks, high fuel pressure, and ignition timing. Another weird thing I recently saw was when someone accidentally hooked up the ficd solenoid to ign. This will immediately raise the idle.

Whats the FICD? Refresh my memory.

Thanks for the tips, unless it is very elusive and my carb cleaner spraying didn't located it I think I am good on the leaks. FP is verfied with my gauge and ign. timing was good last time I looked (ill double check).

Ill also look for power at the iacv. My idle does not change with it unplugged.

Thanks!

Make sure your throttle body isn't cracked open too far using the set screws that keeps it open.

I already double checked that the throttle plate was closed. Ill investigate more this weekend.

Thanks.

Make sure your air regulator is powered.
The FICD, fast idle control device, is right next to the aicv. It will only raise the rpm by about 100 rpm.
I think if you play with the TPS position you can see if the aicv is functioning. Adjust the tps voltage and see if the idle changes, it should go into high idle above a certain level.
