how can i run new power lines for head unit

how can i run new power lines for head unit from the actually battery or where ever i have to run someone broke into the car and ripped it out when disconnecting the battery

You don't need anything that heavy just for the head unit. The amp draw for the head unit is really small. You could just run new wires from the OEM fuse that was for the radio.

I guess you were a little vague on what exactly was "ripped out". Can you provide a little better description of what you want or need to do?

The factory wiring can be used for a new HU...

i dont need all that my harness is hooked up its just im getting no power and its not the fuse i got the car with a cd player already hooked up basically wat i wanna do is run a new power wire from somewhere other than the wire harness i was thinking like a wire from the battery through a inline fuse and then through the firewall to the head unit wat do u think??

well i attached a 12gauge wire straight from the battery through some inline fuse and attachted it to the yellow memory wire but now my battery just seems to be weak could the memory wire be draining the battery???

There's always a fuse for the memory wire and turn on wire separately and one is usually under the hood. I highly doubt that the memory wire would draw enough power to kill your battery. How old is your battery? I forget if a 96 max has a separate clock or not but if it does , does it always show 12:00 or 1:00 when you turn on the car?

there's a fuse number 40 7.5 amp for constant and 21 10 amp for switched.
