HOW CAN I REMOVE THE STEREO ON A 1997 Q45? HELP.

I WANT TO REMOVE THE STEREO BECAUSE THE LIGHT DOES NOT WORK AT NIGHT! I AM ASSUMING THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER OR WHOEVER, DID NOT PLUG IN SOMETHING.... ALSO THE VOLUME KNOB HARDLY WORKS, I THINK MAYBE I CAN FIX THAT LITTLE PROBLEM.

SYMPTOMS: THE VOLUME KNOB DOES TURN OFF THE STEREO BUT WHEN I WANT TO ADJUST THE VOLUME, MOST OF THE TIME IT DOESN'T WORK UNLESS I APPLY A LOT OF PRESSURE THEN I AM ABLE TO ADJUST IT SOMEWHAT.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO REMOVE THE STEREO OR ANY ADVICE HELPS... THANKS.

wow! i figured it out. i took out my own stereo.

I am new to this website and there is so much good information on this site and with the purchase of my new 1997 Q45 with 302,000 miles it seems to be ok.

I bought this car with tons of service records... the only thing is that i need to replace the knock sensors which i was aware off when i bought the car.
